The volumetric or dimensional weight is calculated and compared with the actual weight of the shipment to ascertain which is greater; the higher weight is used to calculate the shipment cost. Airfreight cargo volume weight is calculated as follows:
Volume of goods (length (cm) × width (cm) × height (cm)) / 5000 = volume weight (kg)
e.g. height:50cm x width:10cm x length:20cm: volume weight will be 2 Kg (50*10*20/5000)
